Year 6 have been investigating Area and Perimeter this week within Numeracy.
As our topic is 'Rainforests' we thought we would bring the Rainforest to us (Glenbank Park!) and explore the different leaves, bark or stones that could be found within the Amazon! We used our collection to find the Area of each item.
The children also measured and recorded the perimeter of the play park zones using a trundle wheel to give them inspiration to make and measure their own 'Rainforest Adventure Playground'.
Of course we had to have a swing and slide whilst we were there :-)
Great learning from all the Year 6 children...well done!
