This month we have had lots of fun with our learning.
We have been tapping out the number of syllables and sorting them by how many. We borrowed Mrs Reid’s syllable tower to work with a partner.
We looked at an artist called Andy Goldsworthy and created our own artwork using natural materials we collected. We even used acrylic paint to create leaf prints.
In numeracy we have been playing clumps when recognising numbers and counting. Mrs Lawson tried to trick us but we checked our teams by counting.
Bingo! Year 1 have been learning the rules of number bingo! We have even taken on roles of the leader and recorder. It is a popular game and we love to win prizes.
We are so proud of our completed marble printing and spider web pictures. They look fantastic on display in our classroom.
