As today is 'Pancake Tuesday' 🥞 Year 4 had lots of fun learning about halves and quarters using pancakes and delicious toppings!
Everyone was very careful when deciding how to cut the pancake into equal pieces. They then followed instructions spreading jam on half and added sprinkles to one quarter!
We explored the concept of equivalent fractions, and Year 4 now understand that 2/4 is the same as a half!
Everyone then enjoyed eating their pancakes! It was well earned after all of their hard work! 👏
